This is because these are generally the major issues faced by the customers and the drivers during a ride. The company has started its operations in United States and now serving the customers of 58 countries having the business of around $41 million. For the customers, it is the taxi service that allows them to reach their destination but for the driver, it is the major source of income. The business idea of UBER has generated a large number of employments at the countries and also provides the owners of the private cars to have an income source. The private cars th at are used for private purpose of the people can now be used as a transport system for all (Bessant Tidd, 2007). After assessing the business process of UBER, it has been analyzed that this business has used the available sources and development opportunities by exploiting such resources. There are several contextual factors that need to be discussed to understand the business of UBER. Contextual factors: Innovation: Innovation is one of the key fundamental factors that facilitate the business to be successful. Innovation can be defined as the process of generating new ideas or creating and developing new ideas in order to bring out the changes in the existing process. It is the capability of the person to exploit the available resources and opportunities in order to make something new and innovative. Innovation has acquired a separate place in the organizations these days. The organizations have the research and development departments that help the company to generate new ideas every time. Innovation not only allows the businesses to generate new ideas and improve their process but also help in attaining the competitive advantage (Windrum Koch, 2008). It is the new sign of the companys success these days. This is because it is very important for the companies to be innovative in order to be in the race of the companies in the market or the industry. There are different levels at which innovati on in the organization can takes place. The three levels of innovation are revolution, renewal and resilience. Revolution is the level that is also called as destructive innovative because in this level, the business needs to exploit the existing process and generate new ideas out of them (Carayannis Bakouros, 2010). Renewal is about making new changes in the process and resilience is about making the modifications and reconstruction of the process in continuous manner. Any of the company that tries to make any type of innovation in their organization then it needs to be occurred at one of these levels. The organization or the businesses that are innovative in nature have certain characteristics such as learning, risk taking capability, management conflicts etc. this characteristics in the business support it to be innovative. Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship can be defined as the process that allows the business to explore the available resources and opportunities. This exploration by the business helps the business to generate new ideas and make changes in the processed that are already ben existing in the organization. Entrepreneurs are also called as the leaders but the unlike leaders, entrepreneurs have the capability to develop the opportunities along with developing the path to acquire those opportunities. Entrepreneurs lead employees as well as provide them with innovative ways to complete the process (Rosenbusch, Brinckmann Bausch, 2011). On the other hand leaders only taught them the existing processes. Innovation and creativity is the subset of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs have to be creative and innovative because there are the qualities that allow them to succeed in their business. As analyzed that the environment of today and the needs of the customers are very dynamic, thus, in order to fulfill these ch anging needs entrepreneurs need to make changes in their process and the products so that the new consumer needs and the requirement of the environment can be fulfilled. Impact of Contextual Factor on UBER: Innovation in UBER: UBER is considered as one of the most innovative company that has explored the available resources, exploited the opportunities and created new ideas out of that. The change that has been brought up by this company in taxi industry is that the company has changes the process of using these cabs. The major change that has been implemented by the company in this industry is that it has not only uses the cabs but also uses the private cars at commercial level. The commercialization of the private car owners is helping the owners to have the extra earing without any efforts (Cannon Summers, 2014). This change in private to commercial cars also developed opportunities for the drivers to have a regular income. Some argues that UBER is not an innovative form because it is just like other taxi services. In addition to it, it has also been said that even the business idea is also not innovative as it is similar to the idea of franchisee business. According to the franchise business, a parent company allows the other company owners to use their trade name and the process in order produce the products. If this casein implemented in UBER then the company is said to be franchisor and the drivers who are driving the cars are said to be the franchisee (Feeney companies Uber, 2015). This is because they are driving the cars and earning but using the name of the company as their trademark. According the above discussion, it is clear that UBER does not have an innovative business type but in terms of process, it is an innovative firm (Hippel, 2007). This is because it has not use the new business idea but used the new business process and the way to conduct the old business. The innovation of UBER is destructive in nature. This is because the company has exploited the available resources and changes the way a business can be conducted. The involvement of technology in the taxi business is the new way of running the business with great facilities for customer and for the driver s. Entrepreneurship in UBER: UBER is the firm that has the characteristics of entrepreneurs. As the definition of entrepreneurship suggests that the one who initiates the change and implement it are called entrepreneur and the behavior is called the entrepreneurship behavior. UBER is the company that is exactly like this (Cramer Krueger, 2016). It is the firm that has took initiatives in changing the process and way a taxi industry should run. It has been observed that the company has brought revolution in the industry of taxi services. It is the company that is the epitome of technology and business association because this company has involved and made use of the technological advancement at right place. Entrepreneurs have the tendency to think out of the box just like what UBER do (Isaac, 2014). This company concentrates on developing new opportunities for the people and also tries to innovate the ideas at regular basis. The above discussion clearly describes that UBER is the company with all the entrepreneu rial characteristics. Using Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Business Enhancement: It has been observed that UBER has used the innovative techniques to bring the entrepreneurial behavior in their business. The technological use in the taxi businesses is the most innovative step taken by the company (Bashir, Yousaf Verma, 2016). As the advancement in technology is continuous so UBER has more opportunities to explore in order to make its process more accurate and improved. The company has the opportunity for advanced bookings and regular bookings. UBER should make an option in its application that help the customers to automatically book a ride form them at a particular set time so that it becomes easy for regular users. Conclusion: Innovation is one of the contextual factors that affect the companies in order to attain the competitive advantage. If the company is innovative nature, it can get success in shorter period of time. This is because it has the capability to explore the things and have the ability to use the opportunities for generating better ideas. UBER is considered as one of the firm that is innovative in nature (Geradin, 2015). Another contextual factor is entrepreneurship. It is the process that allows the companies to be innovative and creative in terms of their processes and ideas. UBER is considered as innovative fir in terms of its process. The overall discussion suggests that the contextual factor such as innovation and entrepreneurship are liked with each other. References: Bashir, M., Yousaf, A., Verma, R. (2016).
